UNIFORM + INSIGNIA IN THE 76TH GLASGOW COMPANY

PATCH BADGE:
This is worn at the top of the left arm by all ranks up to Sergeant-Major (yes you see right!) and depicted on the left. It is modelled on the NYPD uniform flash. The 4 stars represent the 4 CS/Senior age Sections with the date of our founding. This would be altered in due course re title.
LANYARDS::
All Privates, Senior Privates wear the standard BB issue white lanyard. NCO's wear Orange. SSgts and Sgt-Major wear red/blue, Warrant Officers, gold, Lieutenants are blue and Captain in red.
CHEVRONS ARE WORN:
Normal traditional BB chevrons are worn but when they go obsolete will get our own.
SENIOR OR ENSIGN:
Wear standard BB Senior collar Badges and blue hat surround.
SECTION BADGES:
Worn on the left epaulette.
Junior (11/12 years) = yellow. Middies = orange. Senior = blue. Ensign = white with a small motif of the old Russian Royal Arms (the Captain is a not so secret Tsarist!).
GLOVES:
At Services and ceremonial occasions, all ranks wear white gloves.
NAME BADGES:
All Staff wear a clip-on nameplate above left pocket of tunic with rank and name..
CROSSBELTS AND SASHES:
Sergeant and Staff-Sergeant = crossbelt. Colour-Sergeant wears a red sash and stripes. Sergeant-Major wears a crown on the right tunic cuff and a blue sash.
HATS:
Normal BB headgear is worn up to NCO rank. SSgts and CSM wore the old, long redundant Staffies hat. Due to age, these are now being replaced by a similar field service hat but with yellow lines.
TROUSERS:
Black trousers are a requirement.
OFFICERS:
It is planned to eventually switch rank insignia to stars on the epaulettes. One star for 2nd Lieutenant, 2 for Lieutenant, 3 for Captain and Major being reviewed.

Just my 76th
Camp uniform.
Thought we'd
keep it simple"
